What we do
CharterDeck is a chartering and shipbroking company. Charterers bring us cargoes and owners bring us open vessels; we find the fits, compare the commercial options and negotiate the fixture.
Why we built it this way
The chartering market moves through circulars, emails and calls, mostly as free text. However good a desk is, working by hand it can read only part of that flow. We built our own market technology so our brokers can cover more of it, compare options faster and spend their time where it matters.
What the technology does, and what it doesn't
It helps our brokers read and structure cargo orders and vessel positions, screen out duplicates and noise, check compatibility on size, type, gear, ports and laycan, and record why an option fits. It does not negotiate or fix vessels on its own: judgement, relationships and negotiation stay with our brokers.
Where we are
Our chartering desk works from Pendik, Istanbul, close to the Black Sea and Mediterranean trades. CharterDeck is operated by Orion Marine, an Istanbul maritime services company.
