Shipbroking services
Shipbroking services: your broker from market to fixture.
A shipbroker represents one side of a charter: finding the counterparty, negotiating freight and terms, and seeing the fixture through. Our brokers do that for charterers and for shipowners, with an AI-supported system that matches the market in seconds and ranks the options with the reasons.
- Charterer's broker
- We find ships for your cargo and negotiate freight and terms.
- Owner's broker
- We find employment for your ship and negotiate the fixture.
- After the fixture
- Recap, voyage notices, laytime and demurrage, followed through.
Market access
Owners, operators and charterers circulate positions and orders through brokers every day. We see that flow and the counterparties behind it, so your cargo or ship reaches the people most likely to fix it, not only the ones you already know.
Vessel and cargo sourcing
We turn your order or open position into a complete brief, then find the ships or cargoes that fit:
- Size, type and gear against the cargo
- Ports, draft and laycan at both ends
- Whole-voyage economics, not the headline rate
- Missing details raised before an offer goes out
Negotiation
Your broker makes and answers offers and counters, works the subjects, and keeps every term and deadline tracked, so nothing slips between messages. You decide what to accept.
Fixture execution
Once the terms are agreed and the subjects lifted, we issue the recap from the terms actually agreed, help draw up the charter party, and follow notices, laytime and demurrage to final accounts.
Commercial representation
On each deal we act for one principal, agreed with you at the start, and we say so to the other side. We never promise the best price to both sides of the same deal.
Technology that widens the market, people who make the calls
Our brokers work with our own market technology. It reads cargo orders, positions and circulars into structured records, removes duplicates and stale positions, and checks fit before a broker looks at an option. Negotiation, judgement about counterparties and the final recommendation stay with experienced people.

How brokers are paid
Shipbroking commission is normally a percentage of freight or hire, paid by the owner under the charter party. We agree with you from the start whose behalf we act on and how the commission is set.
